Goodbye to a GREAT 2009 & Hello to 2010

Colton and I have had been so blessed in 2009. We have had the overwhelming joy of being parents for the past 10.5 months. We have cried and laughed until it hurts at the ups and downs (mixed blessings) of parenthood: seeing Coleman for the very first time on Feb 15, 2009 at 1:06am, learning to feed him, cuddling, 4am feedings, learning what his crying means, rolling over for the first time, ear infections, hearing Mama and Daddy for the first time (or anytime for that matter) smiles, vaccinations, belly laughing and even just now, as Colton pushed Coleman back to our bedroom in his Sport Buggy and he was leaning back (completely chillin') with a HUGE grin on his face!
Coleman loves his new Sport Buggy!

I have been thinking about what 2010 will hold...
Lord willing, Colton will finish his Doctoral Program (in Higher Education Administration) in December. I am so proud of him. He has worked so hard (straight A's in his coursework). In March, he will take his Comps and then continue his Dissertation Work through the end of 2010.

Where will we be this time next year? We have NO idea. It is scary as all get out to not know, yet exciting to see where the Lord will lead us. I pray that all of our joys will continue and we will grow in the Grace of our Lord Jesus and all of His blessings! If you think about it, please do pray for us. We would love to stay in Memphis a little longer if Colton can find a job here. If not, we pray God will guide us and teach us to trust Him wherever He leads.
I tend to try and control EVERYTHING...so, I am praying against this and to trust deeper.

I am so thankful that the Lord's Mercies are new every morning...(and every year)
HAPPY 2010 to all of you!

Colton, Coleman and I celebrated Christmas in Meridian.
Coleman was given his first bike (yes, it will be a few years before
he rides) from G-Daddy & Nana (my parents). They found this
Mississippi State bike in Starkville and could not resist!
