Baby Girl C

I have not felt so hot lately...ridiculous back pain. Then, I had the great joy of seeing her today...and my mood lifted BIG TIME!

Some friends of ours sell Ultrasound Equipment. They needed to have some "guinea pigs" for their new equipment.
I was thrilled when they asked me to volunteer. Normally, this would be a little late (33 weeks) in pregnancy to have the 4D Ultrasound, but it was amazing to see her so developed.
We had the 3D/4D ultrasound with Coleman, but decided not to with Baby Girl C.
BUT...thanks to my lying on a table in front of 14 people as a "guinea pig", we got these images of our little (or should I say BIG) Girl.
I must have heard at least 7 times that there was NO WAY this baby was going to make it to term. She has dropped a ton and is quite large :) (both things I already knew...or at least thought I knew).
There were some better shots, that were not captured in the pictures, of her staring straight at us.
I think she looks just like Coleman.

With Coleman, we had no idea that he would be 4 weeks early. With this little Girl, we are quite sure she will be early. Just not sure HOW EARLY. Please join us in praying for a healthy little Girl who will NOT decide to break her Mama's water in an embarrassing place...you know... ANYWHERE IN PUBLIC!

Dr. Colton Cockrum

Ladies and Gentlemen,
This man below (in all his redneck glory) is now a Doctor.
Yesterday, at 11:06 a.m., Colton's Dissertation Chair came into the Hallway of Browning Hall at the University of Memphis to say "Congratulations, Dr. Cockrum"
Tears of joy flowed down both of our faces. I told Colton that I felt like he just birthed a child (that was in the womb for 4 and 1/2 years). It was by-far one of the proudest moments in my life. It felt like our wedding day or the day Coleman was born. Such joy and overwhelming emotion. I am so proud of Colton! He never complained or grumbled at the early morning writing when he could have easily been watching football, or sitting by the Mississippi River.
We are blessed.

Pumpkin Patch

Coleman's nursery class took a walk to the church next door for the annual Pumpkin Patch Visit and Hayride. He loved it! He is going to be a hunter for Halloween.

Colton's Mississippi River Expedition

Colton, his Dad and 5 other guys went on a 3 day expedition down the Mighty Mississippi River! Colton has been planning this trip for over 8 months. They had a blast!
Here are some pictures from the trip...

this is our little girl...

Well, it is official! Colton was correct. He will be the Daddy to a little Girl. Just that thought alone makes me thrilled! He will be a FABULOUS Daddy to a Girl!
She is healthy. 10 fingers. 10 toes. All 4 chambers of the heart etc, etc...
I won't lie...I have been extremely timid about having a Girl. Will she hate my guts? She will sure love her Daddy! But, God in his goodness and mercy, has made me SO excited. We pray that there will never be a day that she does not know Jesus as her Savior.

She looks just like Coleman in his Ultrasound Picture

Colton and I disagree on the view of this picture. He thinks it is a "looking from the bottom view" and I think we are looking down on her legs. Either way, she is definitely a Girl. No boy parts to be found!

Her name will be kept a secret until she arrives...the only HINT: It starts with a "C" :)
Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow...

God Bless America and Chubby Babies in Diapers

Coleman is most content and happy when he is outside!
His new favorite words are: Please, Ice, All Gone, All Done and Money (Colton taught him that) :)
He will be 18 months old on the 15th of August.
We are doing well around here...I still battle "all-day pregnancy sickness" every few days. Colton is convinced this baby is a girl. I go back-and-forth.
We should know around September 13th.
We are definitely staying busy...Colton is in full-swing of research and writing on his dissertation and I could not be more proud of him. Colton will continue to play softball on Tuesday nights and also play pick-up basketball on Wednesday nights with some guys from our church. He is the best Husband and Daddy anyone could ever ask for...I married way out of my league!!!!
I am helping to start a 20-something's (post college thru late 20's) Bible Study on Tuesday nights. I am very excited to see how the Lord might use this to further His Kingdom in our city and also reach those already connected to the church.

Without further ado...pictures of our growing 31 pound boy!

Check out his Blue Jean Diaper (a special edition Huggies). It looks more like a
Speedo on him :)

Summer Plans: traveling and announcing a new baby :)

The following are pictures from our trip to see my folks in Meridian, MS. for Memorial Day Weekend.
Coleman got his first big boy haircut, ate his first popsicle, played with Nana and G-Daddy and threw tennis balls to Anna (my parents black lab). My daddy cooked some incredible ribs and my Granddaddy Stafford came for a visit. It was a GREAT trip!
It was also on this trip that we found out we are expecting a baby! (due feb 5th).

These are from Marval in Gore, Oklahoma. The Cockrums, Buffingtons, Evans, Stewarts, Coxs and Pilgrims get together every year for some fishing and relaxing.
It is such a fun trip. Coleman played with all of his cousins and especially loved being with his Auntie Dawn, Grammoo and Papa Rocky.

Each Year our neighborhood has a 4th of July Parade...complete with playing in the Fire Truck Water at the end.

STATS ON OUR GROWING BIG BOY at 16 months:
30.9 lbs--94th percentile
33 inches long--83rd percentile
HE IS A BIG BOY!!
